A networking conference and expo that creates an environment in which an effective coalition of South Florida's Jazz businesses and organizations will gather with the goal of empowering Jazz in the area. The SFJS will feature educational panel discussions, performances by area professional musicians and school ensembles, seminars and workshops on various topics relating to the music and the business, plus the State of Jazz inaugural address by a distinguished keynote speaker.

The South Florida Jazz Summit is a fundraising event produced annually by the Jazz Museum of Florida, Inc (dba Jazzonian), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All proceeds from this event go to the Jazzonian youth Scholarship initiative and community outreach jazz education programs under the aegis of the Jazz Museum of Florida, Inc.

The JAZZONIAN Youth Scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to promising young high school and college level Jazz musicians, empower the next generation of Jazz musicians, and nurture young fans of this artform.
